TRP 1.02 Bacterial: Febris recurrens/relapsing fever (Borrelia recurrentis, Borrelia duttoni)

benzylpenicillin IV 1 million IU single dose

followed by

doxycycline PO 200 mg single dose

doxycycline PO 100 mg twice daily for 14 to 21 days

or

amoxicillin PO 500 mg three times daily for 14 to 21 days

or

ceftriaxone IV 2000 mg once daily for 14 to 21 days
