Take triclabendazole during or shortly after a meal
Treatment with praziquantel and/or albendazole has been shown to be ineffective!
Triclabendazole is obtainable from the pharmacy of the Erasmus/Haven Hospital, the AMC pharmacy or via Internationale Apotheek Venlo with a doctor's declaration (delivery time: 7 – 10 days).
There is insufficient data on the use of triclabendazole in children.
There is increasing resistance to triclabendazole in sheep in the Netherlands.
Take nitazoxanide with food.
Nitazoxanide is not registered in the Netherlands but is a so-called "ZFW product".
