Treat only when there is long-standing diarrhoea caused by mono-infection with D. fragilis
Paromomycin is not registered in the Netherlands but is a so-called "ZFW-medicine". A doctor's declaration may be required.
To prevent accumulation of clioquinol, it is recommended to limit use of clioquinol to a maximum of 3 courses per year, and to maintain a minimum interval of 2 months between courses.
