Syringes are supplied overfilled; vancomycin 3 mg/0.3 ml and ceftazidime 6.75 mg/0.3 ml. Repeat injection 3 days after the first administration depending on clinical response |
If unknown and post-operative: as above
If unknown and endogenous: add flucloxacillin 2 g IV six times daily + ceftazidime 2000 mg IV three times daily to the regimen
Also after the first administration: prednisolone 1% eye drops six times daily and atropine 1% eye drops twice daily
