Comments

Continue the proton pump inhibitor once daily (!) for 4 weeks following the eradication course

Choice of antibiotic regimen depends on whether the local prevalence of resistance to clarithromycin and/or metronidazole is below or above 15%

If the first eradication attempt fails, base the second regimen on resistance testing results

Bismuth (bismuth subcitrate) is no longer registered in the Netherlands, but Radboud has an import licence from the IGJ for the indication mentioned above. It is therefore available, but a physician's declaration is required.
