Antibiotic therapy ONLY in cases of persistent or high fever, dysentery, patients with endovascular prosthetic material, and immunocompromised patients.
If an intravenous treatment is switched to an oral treatment within the 5-day treatment period, we recommend providing an additional full oral course of azithromycin.
