	miconazole oral 2.5 ml 4 times daily for 7 days	SWABID (National) remarks 2.5 ml (½ measuring spoon) oral gel 2%, apply four times daily after eating. The gel should not be swallowed immediately but should be retained in the mouth for as long as possible. For oral candidiasis, dentures should be removed at night and brushed with the gel. NB Feb 2024: not available until January 2025. Alternative: nystatin oral min. 400,000/max. 600,000 IU 4 times daily for 7 to 14 days. Distribute over both sides of the oral cavity, hold in the mouth for several minutes and then swallow
	fluconazole oral 100 mg once daily for 2 weeks	SWAB remarks In (severely) immunocompromised patients
	fluconazole oral 100 mg once daily	SWAB remarks For frequent recurrences: intermittent fluconazole during symptomatic episodes.
	fluconazole oral 200 mg once weekly or fluconazole oral 200 mg three times weekly	SWAB remarks For frequent recurrences, consider maintenance therapy
