In principle, do not treat unless there are prolonged gastrointestinal symptoms or the patient is immunocompromised.
For immunocompromised patients, e.g. HIV: secondary prophylaxis with co-trimoxazole 480 mg orally once daily or ciprofloxacin 500 mg orally three times weekly.
